The "Glory Of Horses™" proudly supports smaller farm operations providing care and assistance to horses in need, as well as established regional, national, and international non-profit equine support organizations. The following farms and organizations have been approved as a "Glory Of Horses™" Equine Support Partner and have demonstrated their commitment to providing excellent care, rescue assistance, and/or retirement opportunities for the "Horses".
Beauty's Haven: Farm & Equine Rescue.
Located in Florida, Beauty's Haven Farm & Equine Rescue provides care and assistance to all breeds of horses in need, as well as education to the public. Adoptable horses are available.
Bright Futures Farm
Located in Pennsylvania, Bright Futures Farm is a Thoroughbred Sanctuary. Bright Futures Farm also provides care and assistance to all breeds of horses in need. Adoptable horses are available.
The Brooke: Helping Equines In The Poorest Parts Of The World.
The Brooke is the UK’s leading overseas equine welfare charity and our aim is to improve the lives of horses, donkeys and mules working in the poorest parts of the world. These animals form the backbone of the economy in many developing countries, supporting countless poor communities where many people earn less than a dollar a day. Our vision is that by 2016, Brooke will have increased the number of working animals we reach from 650,000 to the five million suffering horses, donkeys and mules who need our help most in the world.
Last Chance Corral: Specializing in Rehabilitation & Adoption Services for equine.
Located in Ohio, Last Chance Corral's mission is to alleviate the suffering and senseless slaughter of domestic equine; to provide an environment for rehabilitation and carefully select adoptive homes that are appropriate for each horse's individual needs and abilities. Last Chance Corral is also dedicated to saving hundreds of abandoned "Nurse Mare Foals", born only to be abandoned so their mothers can "nurse" primarily "high priced" Thoroughbred foals. "...When everyone else gives up on a horse, we will give it one last chance!..."
L.O.P.E.: Lone Star Outreach to Place Ex-racers.
Located in Texas, LoneStar Outreach to Place Ex-Racers (LOPE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides Texas ex-racehorses with opportunities for new jobs after their racing days are over. LOPE helps all breeds of racehorses (Quarter Horse, Thoroughbred, Paint, Appaloosa, and Arabian) who are ending their racing careers in Texas find new homes and useful, happy second careers. LOPE believes that every ex-racehorse is just waiting to be someone's special champion -- whether as a trail horse, show competitor or just plain pet!
Old Friends Retirement Farm for Thoroughbred Racehorses
Located in Kentucky, Old Friends is a retirement and rescue facility for pensioned Thoroughbreds. At learning that the great Champion and 1986 Kentucky Derby Winner "Ferdinand" was disposed of in a slaughterhouse in Japan, Old Friends focused on providing safe haven and permanent retirement care for Thoroughbreds. Daily tours allow the public to meet several "Champions" of the turf, who call Old Friends home. NOTE: The great Ruhlmann and Ogygian, current residents of Old Friends, have "painted" panels for the "Glory Of Horses™" Projects!
Ponytales Rescue: Equine support and rescue farm.
Located in Pennsylvania, Ponytales Rescue provides care and assistance to all breeds of horses and equines. Ponytales also offers equine nutritional consultation. Adoptable horses and equines available.
Pure Thoughts Equine Rescue
Located in Florida, Pure Thoughts Horse and Foal rescue is dedicated to saving the lives of innocent horses, yearlings and foals that are destined for slaughter. Pure Thoughts has saved and placed over 350 horses, yearlings and foals since it's beginning and intends to double those numbers in the coming year. We are dedicated to fighting against the foreign owned Equine Slaughterhouses for Human Consumption in this country.
Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue & Retirement
Located in Kansas, Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity which provides a safe haven for abused, neglected, abandoned and slaughter-bound horses. Rainbow Meadows also offers rehabilitation, adoption, and a retirement program for individuals wishing to permanently retire their horses at a safe, peaceful refuge. ReRun: A Thoroughbred Adoption program.
Based in New Jersey, with satellite farms in New York and Kentucky, ReRun, Inc. operates a wonderful adoption program for ex-racehorses which provides them with the opportunity to excel in a second career. Beautiful, talented horses are available for adoption at all locations.
