"Horses" of today face many issues which threaten their safety, their well being, and
their very lives. The "Glory Of Horses™" does not pass judgment on activities with horses, however in creating a Tribute
of this magnitude, by which to Honor ALL "Horses", it would be very remiss to ignore the many issues that threaten the safety and well
being of horses in today's society. Horses are intrinsic beings who have made it possible for mankind to progress to the level of society
we all enjoy today.
Horses have provided the means for us all to transcend living in "caves" by providing us with safe, swift,
dependable, transportation; by hauling loads beyond our human capabilities; by providing us with the ability to dominate other societies and
other species; by baby-sitting our children; by obediently engaging us in our wars and battles; by helping us conquer new lands; by
affectionately displaying unwavering loyalty as companions over the ages; by willingly giving us their complete trust; by patiently waiting
for hours on end to obey our commands; by silently enduring our abuse and inhumane treatment; by providing us with exhilerating sporting
entertainment, often to the cost of their own soundness or even their very lives; and the list goes on and on of the innumberable ways that
horses have literally blessed and enriched our lives.
It is only fitting that a Tribute to Honor All Horses provide a "Voice" to speak in behalf of these magnificent creatures, to whom
we all owe our lives, our society, and our existence. Below are listed the most common categories of issues that face horses around the world
on a daily basis. Many horses are suffering today only because of our ignorance to their plight. Behind each category "title" is a page of
informational and educational links corresponding to that category issue. You can click on each of the category titles to learn what is often
shrouded in silence and kept secret from the mainstream public.
